HOPKINS SURVIVAL GUIDE for SENIOR PARENTS Welcome, parents of the Class of 2011 Whether this is your first high school senior portrait experience or the last, this survival guide will be most helpful. One of the best parts about being a senior is having senior portraits taken! It’s hard to know where to start when choosing your perfect photographer. Yes, you could have your uncle, a friend with a digital camera, or the cheapest photographer in town, take the portraits, but that’s like going to McDonalds for prom dinner! At Hopkins Fine Portraiture your son or daughter’s portrait session will be an extraordinary experience –a highlight of their senior year, with portraits that capture their spirit & personality –all the things you love about them and that you’ll miss when they’re gone from home. You will feel confident that your money has been well-spent. To start, we encourage you and your senior to schedule a Free Design Consultation with us. You will have the opportunity to see examples of our work, discuss where to have your portraits taken, go over all the details and have your questions answered. Allow 40-50 minutes for this appointment. A deposit is due at the time you book your session appointment. Your senior’s portraits will be a celebration of their senior year, the story of who they are in a photographic collection. They will want to bring props that will help tell that story – letterman jackets, hats, bats, cars, skateboards, pets, etc.! Our full sessions include unlimited clothing changes, so be sure to include styles that are well suited for your purposes (sending to family and friends) and for your senior’s purposes (giving to classmates). Most sessions last 1 to 1 1/2 hours and are at the end of the day. Your images will be ready to view in as little as 4 days after the session. You will see the images projected onto a screen in large format. This is extremely popular with all our clients because it allows you to see details so that you won’t be disappointed with any of your final portraits. You will place your order at this time, no small paper proofs will be given. All portraits will be fully retouched for blemishes, cuts, scars, etc. Normally, you will have your completed portraits within 10-14 business days after placing your order. If you need them by a certain date be sure to tell us and we will do our best to comply. When your portraits arrive we will schedule a framing appointment. The selected yearbook image will be sent to the school electronically. Your student will be able to have their favorites featured on our website. Hopkins Fine Portraiture, Eureka, CA 707-443-3364 |
